Google Print Ads program closes

After two years of the program Google Print Ads, a division of Google AdWords, the company management decided to close the project because the program is not as effective as expected. Google Print Ads closed, despite the fact that Google has established cooperation with more than 750 newspapers.

"While we had hoped to create a new advertising product that can bring extra money as a service, as well as partners, the project has fallen short of our expectations", - reported on the official blog of Spencer Spinnel, head of the project.

Program started back in 2006 as a test. In the future, Google Inc. has been able to expand the project, involving all the new periodicals. Since Google had agreed to work such well-known publications as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune and The San Jose Mercury News.

However, many newspapers have used the program for the sale of very small squares of advertising that does not bring any profit to them, nor to the service.

Recall that before Google has closed a number of not bringing the expected profit of projects - and it seems that the corporation has taken seriously for the work of most of its programs and services.
