Philips Cinema 21:9, the ultra-screen panoramic film

Philips unveils first LCD 21:9 ratio ultra-screen panoramic

Film really know that there is life beyond the 16:9 widescreen format (Ben-Hur has an original format 2,76:1) and Philips for them seems to have created this Cinematic Viewing Experience as called Ambilight screen Cinema 21:9 56-inch.

Cinema is the first 21:9 LCD TV from the world of these shares (with an aspect ratio of 2,4:1, the same used in Panavision 70mm film) and incorporates the technology of lighting cromatica side Ambilight. According to the guys from Philips is designed specifically to enjoy the entire width of the audiovisual experience, with special attention ... to the widescreen format movies. And no, no good to see two films at both plan double screen.

We had already tried other ultra-screen panoramic curved screens like we had enough (with a more dedicated to the games), but the bet Philips aims to dominate the living room (or across a room, by the way). 21:9 The Movies will be available sometime in the 2009 price and still not determined.

A malicious doubt. If an unadjusted screen 16:9 format, people seemed gordita, this result should be something amazing.
