China Mobile is going to invest 8.6 billion dollars in 3G

The largest Chinese mobile operator, China Mobile Company announced that it intends to invest 58.8 billion yen (8.6 billion dollars) in the deployment of third generation mobile networks in China. China Mobile is using the money to create 60 thousand mobile stations in more than 238 cities.

Currently the company owns about 20 thousand base stations that combine mobile users across the country. The development of third generation mobile networks has become possible after the Chinese Government has all the same decided to start providing licenses for 3G-largest mobile communications providers to the country.

In addition to China Mobile, to compete for 3G joined with other companies, in particular, China Unicom. Total investment in the 3G network will be more than 29 billion dollars.

The Chinese Government believes that the opening third-generation mobile networks is one way not to succumb to effects of the impact of global economic crisis. By the way, everything in China has more than 634 million mobile subscribers.
