Internet Explorer is losing popularity

There is a real "browser war" - and despite its strong position, the most popular browser from Microsoft Internet Explorer corporation continues to recede. The company Net Applications has published its own statistics, which in December last year, the proportion of IE in the "browser market" was 68.2%.

In November last year, a similar figure was 69,8% - it turns out that about a month market share of IE has decreased by more than 1.5%. Naturally, the loss of popular browser from Microsoft is due to the increase in market share of other browsers - for example, the popularity of Firefox in the same month rose by half - from 20.8 to 21.3%.

Increased popularity of Apple Safari also increased from 7.1% in November to 7.9% in December 2008. Incidentally, in the top 5 most popular browsers are, and Opera. The remaining software products accounted for approximately 0.8%.
