Intel prepared a budget board based on P55

What is the Intel P55, it seems everything has already knew. As is known, this set of system logic is designed to work with the latest processors, Lynnfield, and according to plan Intel. He will be represented somewhere in the III quarter of this year. With regard to Lynnfield, this is nothing more than a "truncated" version of Core i7 Bloomfield, but these processors will support only 2 - but not 3-channel memory DDR3. However, some sources even claim that Lynnfield not use the system bus QuickPath Interconnect (QPI), but has an informal information. In short, Lynnfield is processors for desktop systems, mid-range, which are positioned in the middle price range.

Nevertheless, as argued by Fudzilla, According to Fudzilla, Intel has already prepared a number of budget motherboards for Lynnfield. They are based on P55, and the model number of Intel, they are positioned close to the board DG41MJ for processors Core 2 Duo and Quad, that is, in a segment of Classic. It will be recalled that in this segment are those models that are just above the cards in a series of Essential. The latter are known, are designed to work with Atom processors, and Celeron. In short, they fall into the category of budget boards. At the time of the technical details about them yet, but as it turned out, we are talking about motherboards micro-ITX, and they support Socket H1 (LGA 1156). At the moment this is all that we know about them.

On the other hand, it would be a mistake to think that all charges based on Intel P55 refer to the budget category, as Intel plans to bring to market three boards based on this set of logic in the III quarter of this year. They will be much more expensive and are designed to work in desktop systems, which will be positioned in the upper segment of middle-price range.
