CES 2009: GiiNii Movit Mini


Manufacturer of digital cameras, HDTV devices company GiiNii at CES 2009 brought a new mobile Internet device (MID) Movit Mini. Novelty comes with 4.3-inch touch screen, the resolution of which is 480 × 272 pixels. The device does not support calls over cellular networks and does not support wireless networks Wi-Fi. Nonetheless, Internet access is carried out through mobile operators, while calls can be made using Skype. Other features of note the presence of Bluetooth 2.0, 256 megabytes of internal memory, the port mini-USB 2.0, web-camera, built-in microphone and speakers.

GiiNii also provided a home model of the device under the name Movit Maxx. It has similar characteristics, but has a 7-inch display.

Movit Mini will go on sale in the middle of this year. Model Maxx will be available to customers this summer. The cost of new products remains unknown.
