CeBIT'09: ASUS has the first payment for the Core i5

At CeBIT'09 ASUS for the first time demonstrated the two Boards, which are intended for use in systems based on the latest processor Intel Core i5. As expected, these chips will be formally presented to Intel in the III quarter of this year.

Motherboards P7U and P7U Pro supports 2-channel memory, and have 4 sockets for memory modules. In addition, they can still boast 2 connectors PCI Express x16, one port, eSATA, 5 port SATA 3.0 Gb / s and, of course, Gigabit Ethernet and support for 7.1-channel audio.

By the way, both boards have the function of Express Gate. In fact, this is the second operating system (based on Linux), which is built into the motherboard. It provides access to the Internet and some Web services without the help of Windows. While this is only demo models, so the final versions of these cards may look quite different. Their deliveries are scheduled for the autumn, and ASUS has at least 4 or 5 months to finalize. By that time, Intel probably will output to the market first in a series of processors Core i5, and submit to the court users a new set of system logic P55.
