Cisco and NASA to create a global computer network to monitor the climate of our planet

Cisco has recently entered into an agreement with NASA to develop and create new global computer network, which in real time will climate change on our planet. The project, called 'Planetary Skin', is a platform, which should combine the huge number of sensors and other recording equipment around the world to be able to monitor global changes in climate.

This system should be put into operation next year, along with a program called 'Rainforest Skin', which aims at monitoring the effects of tropical deforestation. According to company CEO John Chambers (John Chambers), Cisco plans to establish a strong monitoring system that will help mitigate the impacts of climate change.
