GPS devices, and Clarion MAP 690 Clarion MAP 790


At CeBIT 2009 in Germany, the company introduced two new Clarion portable GPS devices - Clarion MAP 690 Clarion MAP and 790. Both new products use a software iGO My Way 8, which is able to display on the map of some important buildings and monuments in the three-dimensional form, traffic signs, including information on sites with a speed limiter.

Other features include Text-To-Speech, which offers voice prompts during navigation, and also says street names. Also, two new items will receive RDS / TMC receiver, which will keep the traffic on the roads, but more likely this feature will be optional, and will have to pay for it.

Both navigation systems are equipped with 4.3-inch touch screen with a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels, receiver SiRF III GPS, Bluetooth, and the work being managed by 400-MHz processor. To keep the two cards will have 2 gigabytes of internal memory.

While there is no information about the cost and date of appearance in the sales of both new products.
