Core i7 again showed a teeth

Now, almost everyone who is interested in computer hardware, know that the latest Phenom II X4 have phenomenal accelerating potential. Nevertheless, it would be a mistake to believe that in this regard, Intel Core i7 processors are less capable. On the contrary, at CES'09 Intel first revealed that, at least in the case of water its newest processors have proved much better. As reported by Tech Power Up, a leading Intel to disperse, Pinoel Francois (Francois Piednoel) managed to disperse the Core i7 to 4.61 GHz, as the saying goes, "Water", which is cooled processor using conventional water cooling systems. It seems that a child is indeed better than Intel Phenom II, unless, of course, there is a water-cooled.

A test platform was built on engineering sample Core i7 motherboard and Intel Smackover DX58SO. To evaluate the performance and monitoring system used by the program Desktop Control Center from the Intel. Operating voltage CPU and north bridge were set at 1.44 and 1.21 in respectively. The frequency of 4.61 GHz was achieved at a frequency of 144 MHz bus and factor 32x. In doing so, the temperature at the surface of the processor and system board has reached 61 and 41 ° Celsius.

As we see it, Core i7 can easily disperse, and when this is required only water-cooled. But can a child of 6.2 GHz Intel conquer, as Phenom II X4 940 is a different matter. However, here without any special measures to cool the processor, for example, by using liquid nitrogen or helium, is unlikely to succeed.
