ASUS introduced a small but very powerful mother board

This morning, ASUS officially put on the market a new system board from a family of RoG (Republic of Gamers) - Rampage II GENE, writes HEXUS. Like all representatives of this family, this model is positioned in the segment of hi-end, but it is intended for use in desktop systems, SFF (Small Form Factor)-based Core i7 processors from Intel and implemented in the form-factor micro-ATX.

Despite its small size (24,4 × 24,4 cm), Rampage II GENE compatible with all the Core i7 processors with Socket LGA 1366 and supports up to 6 memory DIMM DDR3 to 2000 MHz operating frequency. But that's not all. It turns out that this "baby" still has two connectors PCI Express x16, and it can install two graphics cards in SLI configuration or CrossFire. Other design features include a razemPCI Express x4, one PCI 2.2, seven ports SATA, one eSATA. It is also worth noting that the board supports 7.1-channel sound via the integrated module SupremeFX X-Fi. Like all members of the family of ROG (Republic of Gamers), Rampage II Gene possesses the necessary acceleration functions MemOK, CPU Level Up, Extreme Tweaker, Q-Fan Plus and Voltiminder, so this fee is likely to be appreciated by those who wants to build a compact, but powerful system based on Core i7.O cost and availability Rampage II GENE yet not reported, but can be seen that this fee not cheap.
