Both have a new 12.1-megapixel matrix Super HAD CCD, optics Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar with the function of 4-fold increase in the optical, image processor BIONZ, and can shoot video at 720p resolution of a frequency of 30 frames per second.

In general, new items have similar characteristics except for the size of the display. Sony DSC-T90 has a 3-inch touch screen with a resolution of 230 000 pixels, while the DSC-T900 has a larger screen size.
