Google Health got a new feature

A few days ago, Google has updated its well-known functionality of the service Google Health. Now, said service is capable of reading the heart rate, blood sugar levels, as well as some other data from a wide range of medical devices: for measuring blood sugar, heart rate and other.

In fact, Google Health is now reads information directly from the wearer's body, being a family doctor. In principle, such a service is indeed a number of advantages over the doctor's visit classrooms: No need to constantly go somewhere, you can save on services, physicians, self-monitor their health. For example, the service can read and store the reading level of insulin in the blood - if it exceeds the norm, then it is important for sparing diet.

True, there are several questionable points in the utility of such a service. First, a device capable of reading a physiological indicators and to make it into the network, not only few in the CIS countries and abroad. In addition, it is doubtful as the reliability of data storage on the Internet - any attacker in any way to get information of that kind, could use it for their own purposes. If a normal person would simply be unpleasant, the business or the music may even blackmail - after all who are sick of being said to be profitable?

However, project developers believe that "salvation of drowning - the work of the drowning." That's what Ronnie said Zeyger, one of the developers of the service: Users establish full control over your personal information. They decide that the transfer system, and what does not. "
