Google knows everything about the providers

Google Inc. has launched a new service that aims to help users know the speed of your Internet connection, and check the lock of the provider or any other sites. The new utility service was called Measurement Lab.

Since its emergence was no longer a need to call your ISP in the event of any problems with the speed of connection to the Internet: You can check all their own, and then call the technical support to determine the causes of the problem.

Interesting also that the Measurement Lab may verify whether the provider is not blocking the possibility of transferring data BitTorrent. In principle, this function is most useful to the U.S., where providers attempt to combat pirates, blocking its users access to the file.

Servers are a new service in the U.S. and Europe. According to the developers of service until the service can give incorrect results. All this is a consequence of slightly incomplete program of product - but soon everything will just work as you want.

Google also promises to add support for even more services to serve Measurement Lab: for example, you can check how the priority is either some kind of traffic from your ISP. Measurement Lab helps users keep track of some inappropriate actions of their own provider, for example, blocking any resources or deliberate slowing down of connections that make the fight against "unclean hands" providers more efficient.
