Hackers make their contextual advertising

According to Click Forensics, engaged in research on Internet advertising in 2009, the activity of hackers who earn on false clicks on the ads contextual advertising has become even higher: at the present time, the amount of fraudulent clicks on ads is 17,1% of the total number of clicks . Over the same period in 2008, the same figure was 16.1%.

Of course, hackers are not clicking on ads - in the army of intruders employing thousands and thousands of malware infected computers, which constitute the so-called botnety. According to estimates of specialists, more than 30% of the total number of fraudulent clicks account for at botnety.

Most of the activity of hackers are the biggest suppliers of content ads: projects Google AdSense and Yahoo! Publisher Network. The proportion of false clicks attributable to these projects amounts to 27,1% and 28,2% respectively. Among the most active "Cheaters" it should be noted, countries like USA, Canada, Germany, China.

Interestingly, Russia is not among the leaders - although Russian botnety also continue to work actively for the "sklikivaniyu" contextual advertising.

It should be noted that representatives from Google Inc. categorically disagree with the report given by Click Forensics, because, according to Google, the report cited figures also include the count of clicks calculated by Google, and blocked payment of the funds earned by dishonest means. In addition, the statistics of Google, the number of fraudulent clicks on the ads contextual advertising does not exceed 10%, while Click Forensics asserts that the percentage of "falshivok" is the whole 17%.
