New York Times newspaper maybe available online

Currently the company owns the assets of the newspaper New York Times, is considering the possibility of monetization of the site of publication. Guidelines drawn up several proposals, and it discusses all the options.

The point is that the financial crisis has painfully struck on Budget New York Times, with the result that the company is going to significantly reduce staff journalists, to sell part of the building its headquarters. In addition, management is looking for an opportunity to improve the profitability of the newspaper - one of the options is the monetization of the most popular site publication.

There are several scenarios: to establish a small fee or for visits to all pages and sections of the site, a fairly large fee for the right to visit certain parts. Recall that immediately after the start of work on your site guide New York Times found a small fee for the right of access to some sections, but two years ago became a free site and the company began to receive good profit from advertising placed on the resource.

Now, however, revenue from advertising has become much less, since part of advertisers, experiencing some financial difficulties during the financial crisis, refused to cooperate with the publication. As a result, the newspaper had to reduce the number of pages printed edition, as well as advertise directly to the first strip. Perhaps the introduction of paid access will help the company survive the difficult period.
