The world's first 12 megapixel camera phone is from Samsung

According to Telecoms Korea, Samsung has decided to sort of demonstrate its first 12-megapixel camera. If so, this time the South Korean company is once again ahead of his nearest rival in the person of the Swedish-Japanese company Sony Ericsson. Remember that last year, Samsung released the world's first 8-megapixel camera, model Innov8 (pictured) a month earlier than the Sony Ericsson with its model C905.

While difficult to say how reliable the data from Telecoms Korea, but the source for his part referred to the newspaper Money Today, which enjoys a certain reputation in business circles in South Korea. It should be noted that South Korean source was not able to provide even a "spy" photo of the device. Technical specifications of this model also remains in question, and nobody knows this is a smartphone or a regular mobile phone, the so-called dumbphone (goofy phone, in the literal sense of the word), with the camera, and whether the device touch screen.

By the way, the rumor that Samsung will soon returns to the market 8-megapixel camera with a 3-fold increase in the optical, so it is quite possible that we will see just two models at MWC'09.
