Netbook became slightly stronger

If you are going to buy a Netbook right now, then most likely you will have to do quite a difficult choice: either wait for a couple of months until the first solutions based on the latest Atom N280 processor does not appear in the sale or purchase of existing models, based on the "old "chip Atom N270. The point is that today Intel officially announced the start of the supply of Atom N280, and the first products on its basis, say, the same Eee PC 1000HE from ASUS, will go on sale a few months.

At first glance, the difference between the N280 and its predecessor, the processor Atom N270, not so noticeable. The point is that the Atom N280 runs at 1.66 GHz and a nominal clock frequency N270 at 1.6 GHz. But this is not the case, and that the N280 supports the system bus FSB 667, not 533 FSB, as its predecessor. Therefore, as is easy to guess, the latest representative of a family of Atom did stronger.

Moreover, for the processor Intel has already developed other, more powerful set of system logic GN40, which seems assured processor giant, easily handle decoding HD 720p video at the hardware level. Now, think about whether to wait a bit to buy a Eee PC 1000HE, or just buy Acer Aspire One? The latter model, we recall, is based on the Atom N270.

If the case for that matter, then you can be patient and wait until the first Netbook platform based NVIDIA Ion will not appear on the market. They say that mobile devices such excellent job with the video HD 1080p.
